Photobooth Start Up Shut Down Guide

START UP GUIDE

  • Set up backdrop holder and backdrop – make sure it’s straight and tight
  • Set lower unit in approximate setup area centered with the backdrop
  • Make sure feet are level
  • Screw in poles for older booths, place poles in without screwing and tighten for newer booths
  • Remove upper unit back cover. Lift upper box on top of poles, make sure poles are stable
  • Plug into power source
  • Connect top power strip cord– feed through pole and plug in lower power strip
  • Connect printer USB cord – feed through pole
  • Turn on power strip
  • Take off lens cap and put inside velcro wall
  • Turn on flash – make sure tracking/constant light is off
  • Set flash to medium power
  • Turn on mifi
  • Turn printer on
  • Make sure printer trash is dumped out
  • Computer automatically turns on
  • Computer password: giggle
  • Attach printer tray
  • Remember to remove USB Jump Drive from USBhub
  • Start up DSLR remote pro
  • Turn on camera and test connection
  • Make sure camera is set to manual and not movie mode
  • Check ISO (approximately 800 if outdoors, 1600 if indoors)
  • Set Tv to 1/100 minimum
  • Set Av to 16
  • Set quality and size to medium/normal
  • Check photoboth profile settings
  • Check printer settings in DSLR remote pro and printer preferences
  • Focus camera to backdrop
  • Take a test photo in full photobooth mode. Check exposure and fix accordingly
  • Make test prints
  • Turn on picpic social and select the right watched folder for the event
  • Check event name on picpic social, facebook and email settings, check hashtags and overlay
  • Start event on picpic social
  • Set up iPad kiosk. Key is inside ipad case
  • Turn on iPad. Passcode: 2122. Make sure iPad is connected to mifi
  • Turn on picpic socialapp. Establish link on iPad. Password: giggle
  • Put away mouse and keyboard
  • Tape down extension cord
  • Set up prop table and tablecloth. Put out and arrange props and business cards
  • Remember to instagram a photo. Send a photo to your email using iPad and upload to Instagram from your phone. Account: giggleandriot Password: Giggle.masterpassword.212
  • Close up back both units
  • Remember to keep business cards in pocket

 

SHUT DOWN GUIDE

  • Turn camera off
  • Put lens cap back on
  • Quit picpic social
  • Quit DSLR remote pro
  • Load USB Jump Drive
  • Copy photos from DSL Remote Pro folder of the day on to USB Jump Drive
  • Copy folder from picpic social to USB Jump Drive
  • Finish copying, store Jump Drive, shut down computer
  • Turn flash off
  • Turn mifi off
  • Turn mouse ad keyboard off and store
  • Take printer tray off and store
  • Empty out printer plastic scrap paper compartment
  • Unplug main extension power cord and store
  • Disconnect printer usb cord and store in top unit
  • Make sure computer is finished copying
  • Disconnect power strip cord and store in top unit
  • Please keep cords neat!!
  • Close all lids. Make sure lids are on properly on
  • Detach top unit from lower unit
  • Unscrew/remove poles and store
  • Put top case on top unit and secure
  • Place top unit inside lower unit
  • Place both units in case, make sure to have the front facing the right away
  • Load on handcart
  • Turn off iPad app and iPad
  • Store iPad, mifi and jump drive in iPad sleeve
  • Store iPad kiosk and iPad kiosk key
  • Take down backdrop and backdrop stand
  • Fold backdrop. Please fold sequins inside out
  • Store props neatly
  • Store table and left over business cards
  • Fold table cloth
  • Fill out event information sheet
  • Thank event coordinator personally and give business card
  • Thank venue personally and give business card
