Lucca Restaurant and Bar celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a series of fundraising events called “Giving Back Deliciously.” Lucky us, we were there for a particular fundraising event befitting the Sacramento Children’s Home. The Sacramento Children’s Home is committed to helping build strong families, opening doors to the future, maximizing potential, and ending the cycle of child abuse. Since 1867 the Sacramento Children’s Home has been investing in the future of at-risk children and families in Sacramento.
We were there with a fun custom photo booth to make the event even more fun! With a recycled fashion show hosted by Phoeve Verkouw and an amazing ‘Eating Like a Kid Again’ menu by Chef Ian MacBride’s, the night was a hit! The 5 course dinner featured childhood inspired menu items like Spaghetti O’s and Meatballs: Anelletti pasta with Passmore Ranch sturgeon meatballs. Dessert was an amazing Chocolate, peanut butter and banana tarts with raspberry coulis and peanut brittle. Kudos to the chef!
Sponsors include Sacramento Magazine, Lucky Dog Ranch Beef, Passmore Ranch, Watanabe Farms, Produce Express, Regal Wines, and Berryessa Brewing Co.
The best part of the night was of course the recycled fashion show hosted by Phoeve Verkouw and emcee Sean O’Brien featuring vintage and thrifted fashion hand selected by Phoebe in delicious spring colors. A few of our friends were even models hitting the cat walk!
We designed our custom photo booth backdrop for the event to reflect the happy childhood years, we used mini balloons in all sorts of colors and fun polka dot fabric to help bring you back to your early years and memories. To top it all off, we came all prepared with fun and silly props. Have you seen our unicorn head?
We are so thrilled to have been a part of this amazing event, it always warms our hearts to be part of charity fundraisers. A photo booth is a great way to add so much fun to your event. Guests leave the event with their own printed photos, what a fun way to commemorate the event and the night’s great memories.
