Art Auction Season at the Crocker Art Museum kicks off with the spectacular silent auction party Big Names, Small Art. Bid on “Small Art” (12 x 12 inches or less) by “Big Name” regional artists. Bids start at the small price of $25, so anyone can begin or add to their art collection. With music, artist demonstrations, and docent-led gallery tours, the evening is a fun way to support art in the community. Cocktails and seasonal fare will be available for purchase from the Crocker Cafe by Supper Club.
We had such a fun time at this event!! We were inspired by the event’s theme of Jonathan Adler for this backdrop and prop design! We painted baroque styled frames in bright poppy colors that are trendy today. We hung that right in front of our grey and white Jonathan Adler-esque chevron backdrop and wallah! We had a fun interactive backdrop that pays homage to not only Jonathan Adler but the Crocker Museum itself!
Guests had so much fun interacting and playing with the frames and backdrop. We saw so many creative and unique poses and things to do with our frames! Looking good Crocker!
