We love annual parties. The one thrown every year for UC Davis’ School of Veterinary Medicine can’t be beat! Our photobooths love a good costume capturing opportunity. This year’s theme was Under the Sea – and some of the costumes for the event were incredible!
History of UC Davis SVM
History of the School
The School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis has a rich history of educating veterinarians and veterinary scientists, discovering new knowledge through a robust and progressive research enterprise, and setting the standards in animal health care. Innovation and collaboration are at the core of the school’s success and professional advancements. The faculty have developed new disciplines, new clinical treatments and advanced the One Health approach to address complex health issues at the interface of animals, people and the environmental.
UC Davis’ School of Veterinary Medicine offers plenty of benefits for their students. From career exploration and preparation assistance to general counseling and mentorship, there’s a little of everything! The school aims to promote a rewarding, healthy lifestyle for those in attendance.
Under the Sea Photobooths: Costume Edition
There were so many incredibly creative costumes made specifically for the event. Some others were made from already owned materials, or purchased for the party. From beloved cartoon characters to scary angler fish, there was a little something for everyone!
Our photobooths see a lot of different types of people at the events we attend. That said, costume parties definitely add more variety than your typical wedding or fundraiser.
We saw all kinds of aquatic creatures – sharks, jellyfish, even Nemo! Penguins were a hit among partygoers, and there were mermaids everywhere you looked! We loved how fun and festive everything was, and huge shoutouts to attendees for so many unique, aquatic poses!
And we’ve included a few of our favorites below, but it was super hard to choose! How can you pick when every costume you see is as great as the last? We’re making tough choices here, people!
Hats off to this year’s class for their accomplishments! Now, get out there and help some animals – marine or otherwise!
