We got a chance to work with the most awesome arts organization in designing a virtual photobooth for their online symposium. The Emerging Arts Leadership Symposium is an organization based at American University, and fosters exposure and networking opportunities for emerging art professionals! This year’s unique theme was centered around “The Arts Management Pivot: Fostering Resiliency in the Arts“. Read about how our virtual photobooth was used as a part of a totally rad online event!
The 2021 Virtual Symposium
EALS, The Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium, takes place at American University each year. The event provides a space for art students and young professionals to participate in dynamic discussions with peers and leaders about the art world. Topics range from current issues, educational subjects, and networking opportunities! 2021 was their 14th annual gathering – which is organized by Arts Management graduate students at the college.
Frame Overlay Fun
We’re creatives just like them – so we were super excited to be able to have some artist freedom with their frame design. Our in-house designer chose a 90’s aesthetic that mirrored the EALS brand colors while also incorporating their symposium hashtag: #MakeArtHappen. The frame overlay design was not only eye-catching, but a really great break from the online space. Did you know our virtual photobooths can be used as great ice breakers or even contest/giveaways!?
Student Engagement
The virtual symposium is centered around exposing young artists and professionals to the art world and creating meaningful discussion about the art world. Our virtual photo booth served as a great icebreaker and mini-memory of the event. On top of being a successful education event, EALS 2021 was a hit for education & engagement! Giggle & Riot is so excited to be working with international and national organizations, like EALS to create customized virtual photobooth experiences for online events.
