A Virtual 2020 Welcome Week at Texas A&M
Students got an extra special welcome this year with Howdy Week‘s super fun list of activities and our virtual photo booth! We designed a photobooth that incoming and returning students could use to show off their school pride before classes began. The virtual photo booth was open to all students, faculty, and family! Events like these remind us that although our events are different this year, we can still find ways to cherish milestones such as starting school and making it through college!
Howdy Week!
Texas A&M designs a week full of fun and relevant activities for students to choose from. From trivia, to orientation activities, and even money/budgeting lessons – there is something for everyone! The entire school truly comes together for this event. Different on-campus organizations, departments, and clubs unite to help welcome new and returning students to the school year. Our virtual photo booth was among the daily activities that students could access. It was amazing to see students smiling from around campus, their dorm rooms, and even those that are working from home! We customized their virtual booth to match their school colors, logos, and included mention of the Student Life Office. The Howdy Week team works hard to make all their incoming students feel welcome and shows them how they can have an amazing experience at Texas A&M!
First Day of School Photos
Keeping with Howdy Week’s tradition, the virtual booth switched to the First Day of School photobooth once classes started. Students were able to take their special first day of school photos with frames that said “First Day of School” and “Last First Day of School” (for those that are entering their final year of college, woohoo!). We included special details such as some of the college’s iconic buildings, and their school mascot! First day of school photos really do get the year off to a great start and they are such a sweet tradition! We were honored to be able to participate in Howdy Week’s iconic orientation week – and help create special memories for the students despite such an unfamiliar year! Go Aggies!
