The Annual Paws to Party
Our virtual photo booth was the perfect fit for Front Street Animal Shelter’s pet costume contest and virtual fundraiser! The shelter’s yearly Paws to Party includes raffles, silent auctions, and swag bags. Given that this years event was virtual, it made all too much sense to partner with us and design a super special virtual photo booth for all their attendees to submit their pet pics to!
Virtual Fundraiser and This Year’s Themes
The attendees were super creative with their costume selection – with pet costumes ranging from tv and movie characters to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and even US Postal Workers! Cats and dogs were equally represented in the booth as well! It was so great to see the array of funny, sweet, and clever costumes that Front Street‘s friends & family came up with.
Taking The Event Virtual
Paws to Party is an annual fundraising event. And with all in-person gatherings being halted for much of 2020, the shelter had to get creative with transforming their same event into a virtual one. Aside from their pet costume contest, they also hosted a silent auction to keep the classic party feeling alive! Also, people had the opportunity to buy a specialized gift bag that included Front Street swag, gift certificates, pet treats and toys, and certificates to local businesses. The shelter’s fundraising efforts were tremendous despite the challenging year:
“Year to date, intake has been down significantly at 3,816 animals. We have adopted 1927 animals, sent 2423 animals into foster, 345 animals have been sent to our rescue and transfer partners and we’ve reunited 20% of animals with their owners. 575 owned pets were fixed through our community spay/neuter program. Our Live Release Rate is 83%. We know that we have many challenges ahead of us, however, we are looking forward to continuing to improve the lives of animals and our animal-loving community.” – Front Street Animal Shelter
